Canmore on Google Earth

As an addendum to the previous post ... the road we climbed can be seen on this image from Google Earth (click the picture to see a larger one). We were about 5600' up, Canmore is 4300', and for reference Ha Ling Peak is 7500'. This image from Google Earth is looking due West, the images at the bottom of the previous post would have been looking due East. I highly recommend getting Google Earth (free at http://earth.google.com ) and checking out Canmore for yourself. When you put your mouse to the top right corner you can move sliders to zoom in/out, change your angle of viewing, and your direction.
